How to celebrate the lie

From the good people at signs of the times

You Lied.

Democracy dies, When Bush lies

The question remains what can we do about this
Most people refuse to consider this list
They’re lost in illusion, can’t recognise proof
so we offer this song to all who stand for the truth

No more lies, No more lies
Must we all die, Because of your lies

Today we celebrate that most patriotic of holidays-the fourth of July, the birth of our great nation. As many of us fire up the barbeque and sip on our beers I wonder what it is we are celebrating. Personally I like to listen to some good music during any holiday. Still I find it difficult to celebrate tyranny, greed and the ever present rise of facism. Instead I will spend the time pondering how we got to this point. Maybe it’s because of the lies.

You can even listen to the song from which I just quoted lyrics above. It sounds pretty good too while eating burgers and drinking beer. If you don’t like the lyrics which are pretty spot on in my opinion, the music and the vocals are also quite good.
